How to Calibrate your new Laptop Battery
What if I say that a lot of users know little or nothing about calibration, would I be flawed?
Or let me shock you, do you know that even laptop engineers are ignorant of this?
Anyways, in this article we would be discussing about calibration, definition, importance and how to calibrate a laptop battery efficiently.
What is Calibration
Can you remember your college practical days, where calibration was defined as the act of ensuring that a method or instrument used in measurement will produce accurate results.
This tells you that a device or instrument will only produce accurate result if and only if calibrated, you get right?
Nonetheless, Battery Calibration is a given method that allows a new battery to last longer as its supposed to last.
Let’s just say its the act of using steps to ensure that our battery last accurately.
Why is battery Calibration Important
The importance of battery calibration can not be over emphasized, therefore we would lay down few points.
- Helps battery perform as it should.
- Increases battery life.
- Stimulates dead battery performance
- Fixes unexpected battery shutdown.
Let me tell you a story, maybe it might have happened to you before, my first laptop battery was always shutting down without reaching 10%, sometimes it goes off at 40%.
Even a friend of mine was having a funny issue, her battery couldn’t completely charge to 100%, you see it stopping at 80% or 99%, yeah that’s because it was not calibrated properly.
